Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift)Overview An established food manufacturing business is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to support site operations within a fast-paced FMCG environment. This role will focus on delivering both reactive and planned maintenance to ensure plant reliability, safety, and performance during night production. The successful engineer will join a well-resourced engineering function and play a key role in minimising downtime while supporting continuous improvement across production lines. Responsibilities Provide reactive and preventative maintenance support across manufacturing operations Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise production disruption Support delivery of planned preventative maintenance schedules Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance across engineering activities Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to drive operational efficiency Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and automation projects where applicable Criteria Experience as a Maintenance Engineer within an FMCG or food production environment Apprenticeship trained with a recognised engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent preferred) Strong fault-finding ability across mechanical and electrical systems Comfortable working nights in a high-volume, time-critical setting Proactive, dependable and safety-focused approach Reward Competitive night-shift salary Ongoing training and development Company benefits package Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing manufacturing site Skills: Maintenance Engineer Maintenance Technician Mechanical Maintenance Electrical maintenance
