A part time post has arisen working in the Patient Access Team. This post is on a rota basis which includes weekends and bank holidays. The hours will be within an 8am - 8pm shift pattern.

Responsibilities
* Provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to patients and visitors in the hospital environment.
* Carry out duties within the Patient Access Team on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays, to ensure the service is appropriately covered across seven days.
* Assist patients and visitors using a variety of communication methods.
* Assist with admitting and discharging patients in a timely manner and ensure relevant post-admission information is sent to the appropriate person(s).
* Track patients through the process to ensure care is delivered at the appropriate times, with an element of validation and auditing to support timely and efficient treatment.
Qualifications
* High level of tact and diplomacy with strict adherence to the rules of confidentiality.
* Ability to work on a rota and maintain service coverage across seven days.
