 
        
        High Intensity Counsellor - Talking Therapies
Permanent – Part Time – 22.50 hours per week
We are excited to be recruiting for a part time, qualified and BACP Accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor to work in our supportive team here at West Lancs. You will be part of the Talking Therapies team offering one‑to‑one, telephone and online therapy as well as group work; this aspect of the role can be delivered on a Hybrid basis.
The successful candidate will join a fantastic team of PWPs, Counsellors and CBT therapists who work collaboratively to deliver the best service and outcomes for clients. You will receive regular supervision and have the opportunity to attend suitable training events to support your professional development.
Main duties of the job: The post holder will work with people from different cultural backgrounds and age groups, using interpreters when necessary, and will be committed to equal opportunities. About Us
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care. The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well‑being services in the community alongside partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area. Qualifications
 * A minimum of a Level 4 Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling
 * British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited Diploma
 * Full Accreditation with the BACP
 * A Bachelors degree and/or professional training in a health practitioner field (e.g. nursing, occupational therapy)
Experience
 * Experience of delivering an NHS approved relational therapy (Counselling, IPT, CTfD) within a Talking Therapies service
 * Evidence of recent regular supervised practice
 * Demonstrable and in‑depth knowledge of working with a diverse client group with a wide range of presenting problems and significant levels of distress
 * Experience of delivering telephone, remote and online therapy
Knowledge
 * Extensive experience in and knowledge of Talking Therapies national and local service requirements and an ability to develop the service to reflect the requirements
 * Detailed understanding of the key performance indicators in Talking Therapies services and how they relate to clinical practice
 * High‑level knowledge of the theory and practice of one or more NHS Talking Therapies – recognised Psychological therapies
 * In‑depth and demonstrable knowledge of the NHS talking therapies model and a willingness to develop the service clinically to meet KPIs
