An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Projects team in Legal and Corporate Governance. We are seeking three dynamic, engaging and dedicated professionals to become part of our multidisciplinary legal team providing Projects advice to Council departments. You will be part of a fast-paced environment delivering projects such as the AMIDS South infrastructure project, the extension of Park Mains High School, along with an ambitious future learning estate strategy, and a number of projects designed to regenerate Renfrewshire.
Responsibilities
* Provide Projects advice to Council departments as part of a multidisciplinary legal team.
* Contribute to the delivery of fast-paced projects including infrastructure, education and estate development initiatives.
* Coordinate client services, external advisers and other stakeholders in managing ongoing projects and provide urgent project legal advice when required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Current Practising Certificate, LLB and a Diploma in Legal Practice.
* Experience in contract drafting, non-contentious construction, and involvement in projects in public or private sector.
* Working knowledge of SBCC and/or NEC contract suites and construction-related documents such as framework agreements, building contracts, engineering contracts, development agreements, consultant appointments, bonds, PCGs, collateral warranties; understanding of EU procurement rules affecting local authority projects and contracts.
