We are working with a well-respected and specialist ground engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Geotechnical Engineer for their growing team in Livingston. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality ground investigation and geotechnical solutions across a wide range of infrastructure and construction projects, our client is continuing to expand and is seeking a motivated engineer to support their technical and project delivery teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer looking to further develop their career while working on a diverse portfolio of projects, gaining exposure to both site-based and technical aspects of ground engineering.
As the Geotechnical Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Assisting with the planning, supervision, and delivery of ground investigation projects
* Interpreting site investigation data and preparing geotechnical reports
* Supporting the design and assessment of geotechnical solutions for construction projects
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams throughout project delivery
* Monitoring site works to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
* Assisting with technical analysis, data interpretation, and project documentation
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline
* Previous experience within ground investigation, geotechnical consultancy, or ground engineering
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A proactive approach and willingness to develop within a technical engineering environment
