Reporting to the Assistant Director - Campus Services, the Head of Maintenance is responsible for managing all maintenance activities at the University, relating to statutory, planned, preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance. You will be the University’s expert on maintenance ensuring that the maintenance activity enhances the campus experience. The successful postholder will also provide strategic advice on the maintenance strategy and ensuring contracts are in place to support the University estate.
Responsibilities
* Manage all maintenance activities at the University (statutory, planned, preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance).
* Provide strategic advice on the maintenance strategy and ensure contracts are in place to support the University estate.
* Ensure maintenance activity enhances the campus experience and supports user-focused FM services.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified and hold a relevant professional qualification, with good knowledge and experience of delivering maintenance for a diverse and large estate.
* Adept leader with strong people management skills who can develop effective internal and external relationships.
* Demonstrates a high level of personal drive and energy to deliver a user-focused facilities management service.
