The Guide Post Hotel is a 42 bedroomed hotel, with a Restaurant and 2 function rooms, set in Low Moor, Bradford. We cater for Weddings, Events, Funerals and Conferences.
We are looking for a passionate and talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help us create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for designing and executing a seasonal menu that reflects our commitment to quality and innovation. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and hygiene. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen culture whilst contributing to the overall success of the Guide Post Hotel.
Key Responsibilites:
* Develop, plan and implement a creative and seasonal menu that highlights local ingredients and culinary trends
* Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating and presentation.
* Lead, train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to best practises and maintain high standards
* Manage stock, including ordering and sourcing quality ingredients from local suppliers
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the kitchen
* Collaborate with front of house staff to create a seamless dining experience for guests
* Monitor food costs and contribute to budget management to ensure profitability
* Stay up to date on industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve the menu
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a high quality restaurant or hotel environment.
* Culinary qualification or equivalent professional training
* Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
