THE ROLE
Our client is an established engineering business delivering full turnkey mechanical solutions, from concept and design through to manufacture, installation and service. They are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join their projects team and take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical projects from initial handover to completion.
Key responsibilities
· Manage mechanical projects from start to finish
· Define scope of works and interpret client requirements
· Develop project plans, programmes and documentation
· Communicate scope, expectations and progress with internal teams
· Attend site surveys where required
· Coordinate suppliers and external resources
· Monitor project milestones, costs and budgets
· Identify and manage variations and additional chargeable work
· Provide regular progress updates to clients
· Ensure all health, safety and legal requirements are met
· Identify and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle
· Build and maintain strong client relationships
Essential requirements
· Mechanical HNC or equivalent qualification
· Proven project management experience within a mechanical or engineering environment
· Strong mechanical engineering background
· Ability to produce and amend drawings using 3D AutoCAD
· Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills
