Locum Social Worker / Senior Practitioner - Competitive Rates & Supportive Team
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
Pay: Up to £33.30 per hour (umbrella)
Location: Stoke On Trent

Your Role
As a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner, you will:
* Complete statutory Child & Family Assessments
* Manage a caseload of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children
* Develop, implement, and review care and support plans
* Lead and contribute to multi-agency and safeguarding meetings
* Assess risk and ensure timely, effective interventions
* Support and mentor colleagues (Senior Practitioner level)
* Prepare reports and undertake court work when required
* Work closely with children, adolescents, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
What We're Looking For
* Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
* Experience working within Children's Services
* Strong safeguarding, assessment, and decision-making skills
* Ability to manage complex cases confidently
* Senior Practitioner applicants should have experience supporting or guiding colleagues
* A flexible, child-focused approach to practice
