What you will be doing
As a qualified Registered Nurse, you will ensure people of all ages who are living with neurological and long-term conditions, including those living with physical disabilities and recovering from traumatic injuries, and providing a high level of personal and rehabilitative care. receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork.
The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, and a good amount of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include:
1. Providing high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service users
2. Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
3. Providing mentorship and support to team members
4. Observing, recording and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided
Skills and knowledge you will have:
5. A relevant nursing qualification
6. NMC registration
7. Strong team-working skills
8. A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
9. A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
10. A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
Where you will be working:
The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability.
Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.
Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with over 95% on single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according to their assessments and needs.
