We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior or Qualified Support Worker to join a 1-bedded EBD children’s residential home in a rural area near Chipping, Preston. Due to the nature of the young person’s needs and known behavioural risks, female applicants are preferred for this post. The role requires candidates to be drivers, as the location is not accessible by public transport.
This is a full-time position based on a 2-on, 4-off rolling shift pattern, which includes sleep-ins. The working pattern includes two consecutive long days with overnight rest time, followed by time off. Optional overtime is available. The basic salary is £30,545 per year (including £40 per sleep-in), with performance bonuses of up to £3,600 per year, offering total earnings of up to £34,145 annually.
Candidates must have experience in residential childcare and be passionate about supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Those looking to progress will be supported through a structured development programme and enrolled on a Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification.
