Social Worker - Cared for Children Team Rochdale Borough Council Up to £35 per hour Rochdale Borough Council is looking for a passionate, resilient, and highly experienced Social Worker to join our Cared for Children Team. Key Responsibilities * Complex Case Management: Take specific responsibility for dealing with complex cases, including the high-quality assessment and appropriate management of risks to ensure child safety and wellbeing. * Strategic Planning: Work collaboratively with service users, families, and other professionals/stakeholders to assist in comprehensive service planning and delivery. * Permanence & Pathways: Ensure all statutory duties are met regarding Care Planning, Pathway Plans, and court work, driving cases forward to prevent drift. * Voice of the Child: Ensure the child’s voice is evident in all recording and that their views drive the planning process. About You We are looking for a candidate who brings immediate value and expertise to the service. * Experience: You must have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualifying experience specifically working within a Cared for Children (Looked After Children) Team. * Qualifications: A recognised Social Work qualification (BA/MA/DipSW) and active registration with Social Work England. * Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality court reports and assessments under pressure. * Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004 and relevant statutory guidance regarding looked-after children
