Role Overview
The Distributor Sales Manager will grow Sierra Nevada's sales and market share by managing wholesaler relationships and retail execution within their assigned area. They will collaborate with wholesalers and the national account team to execute strategies aligned with Sierra Nevada standards. Building and developing the local market team is also a key responsibility.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary ranges from $81,222 to $126,707, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. Key Responsibilities
1. Manage assigned wholesalers to increase sales and market share.
2. Lead, motivate, and develop employees, including hiring and performance management.
3. Execute retail strategies, develop distribution, and ensure brand standards are met.
4. Provide exceptional service to become the preferred supplier.
5. Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders.
6. Develop and execute business plans with wholesalers.
7. Provide regular business recaps and manage budgets.
8. Conduct coaching and training to develop sales skills.
9. Operate within brewery and budget guidelines.
10. Coordinate with leadership on reporting and pricing communication.
11. Utilize sales tools effectively.
12. Reside within Charleston, SC; Columbia, SC; or Greenville, SC.
Qualifications
* Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's preferred.
* Minimum 3 years sales experience; alcohol beverage industry experience preferred.
* 2 years of team leadership experience preferred.
* Knowledge of liquor laws required.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* Strong organizational and personnel management skills.
* Ability to interact effectively with distributors and sell in programs.
* Driver's License free of major violations in the last three years.
