Planning Ecologist
Salary: £30,024 – £33,699 per annum
Type of vacancy: Fixed Term (24 months)
Work pattern: Full Time, 37 hours per week, Hybrid, Base: County Hall, West Bridgford, NG2 7QP
Overview
We are looking for an early career ecologist to work within the Natural Environment unit on the delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain and the enhanced Biodiversity Duty. The post is full‑time, on a fixed term for two years with potential extension subject to funding.
Responsibilities
* Provide advice and guidance that underpins the County Council’s delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain through the planning system.
* Support the implementation of the enhanced Biodiversity Duty.
* Contribute to the planning system’s biodiversity strategy and related outcomes.
Qualifications
* Background in ecology or a similar discipline.
* Early career ecologist with a clear career aspiration.
