Overview
The hourly rate for this role is £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role. No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.
This is a role based in store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered and applications from candidates outside the UK will not be progressed unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.
What you’ll do
* Work as a Trainee Dispenser within a store, supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.
* Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme while working in the store’s healthcare department.
* Assist in prescription dispensing, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
* Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
* Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with operational processes.
* Support patients to manage their prescriptions, provide reliable repeats, and promote adherence to reduce waste.
During the role you will work with evolving technologies and new systems to improve patient safety and free time to spend with patients. You will receive regular updates and training to develop healthcare knowledge, with career development options including potential training as a Pharmacy Technician or as part of the store leadership team.
What you’ll need to have
* Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
* Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
It would be great if you also have
