Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The role involves overseeing high-volume banqueting and M&E operations, developing an exceptional à la carte menu, and focusing on leadership, innovation, cost control, food waste reduction, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily kitchen operations for à la carte dining, banquets, meetings, and large events including seasonal functions.
* Create and update menus for individual and group dining, ensuring quality and variety.
* Manage food costs, inventory, payroll, and control waste to maintain profitability and sustainability.
* Train and inspire the kitchen team to achieve high standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards and lead audits.
* Stay ahead of market trends to keep menus fresh and competitive.
* Collaborate with F&B and event teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Qualifications
* Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
* Proven experience in high-volume operations, including banqueting and à la carte service.
* Minimum 5 years as a Head or Executive Chef in a similar environment.
* Strong knowledge of culinary trends, waste control, and cost management.
* Leadership, communication, and team development skills.
* Certified in food safety and hygiene practices (e.g., HACCP).
* Proficient in kitchen management systems and basic computer skills.
