Our role is to prioritise, plan, programme, manage and deliver a range of non-nuclear infrastructure services including all utilities, transport and supporting buildings. As well as the work with the Alliance, we are developing a growing workload across Cumbria and beyond. It is essential that our staff hold appropriate security clearance and the security vetting team perform a vital role in assisting staff to apply for and renew relevant security clearances and passes. The Security Vetting Assistant position is based in Whitehaven and will report to the Senior Office Coordinator and Arup Security Controller. The role will involve working as part of the Arup security vetting team to assist Arup staff and subcontractors to apply for new security clearances and site passes, to assist with annual renewals, and to work with the Arup Security Controller on other security related tasks. The role holder will need to obtain relevant security clearance and the Sellafield BPSS clearance. You will be supported in your application for this. The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes: Have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel. Can perform accurate record keeping and have a great attention to detail. Have strong time keeping skills to manage changing deadlines and ensure applications are completed in a timely manner and to quality standards. Honesty and discretion.
