About the Role
We are looking for a Tax Manager to support the delivery of our global tax compliance and reporting obligations. The role reports into the Global Tax Senior Manager.
What you’ll do
* Manage Trustly’s global tax compliance process to ensure accurate reporting and payment of taxes worldwide, including reviewing corporate tax computations and returns, VAT returns and EC sales lists, maintaining a tax compliance calendar, and managing quarterly and year‑end compliance timelines.
* Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing calculations.
* Act as the main point of contact for Trustly’s global tax outsource provider, ensuring accurate, timely data and performing first reviews.
* Coordinate with Finance and Tax teams for data collection.
* Assist the tax team with key projects, audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
* Identify and implement digital solutions to enhance efficiency and streamline tax compliance processes.
* Support additional tax reporting requirements such as DAC 6, CESOP, FATCA, CRS and related regulatory compliance.
* Monitor tax legislative changes and assess potential impact on the business.
Who you are
* Significant experience managing tax compliance.
* Experience across direct and indirect tax (especially EU) and a willingness to learn and develop across all tax aspects globally.
* In‑house experience with FinTech or financial services is a strong advantage.
* Qualified tax professional (e.g., ACA, CTA in the UK or equivalent) with strong technical expertise.
* Tax accounting experience.
* Comfortable partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business and working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong ability to manage workload, multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with Netsuite is a strong plus.
* Experience managing external advisors and building relationships with tax authorities.
* Enthusiastic about scaling and automating processes within a growing business.
* Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
