Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced plasterer to join our Scarborough team. The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work, including all plastering aspects. This will range from general small repairs to tiling, DPC tanking and pointing work. Your main duties will include fully plastering kitchens and bathrooms to a high standard, within a timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive plastering maintenance work, including related tasks (tiling, DPC tanking, pointing).
* Fully plaster kitchens and bathrooms to a high standard and within required timeframes.
* Undertake multi-skilled work (bricklaying to an acceptable standard as part of Beyond Housing projects).
* Assist with smaller wall building, brick removal/replacement, pointing, and blocking up voids where required.
* Mentor an apprentice, volunteer, or work experience placement as part of the role.
Qualifications and Skills
* In-depth knowledge of repairs and maintenance of buildings related to plastering.
* Relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in plastering, with experience in the plastering trade.
* Fully competent in health and safety with safe systems of work.
* Ability to multi-skill (desirable but not essential).
* Full UK driving licence. If you have a disability, reasonable adjustments will be explored.
Role Details
This is an extremely varied role which requires a self-starter who can work alone or in a team. The successful candidate should be flexible, willing to learn, and able to grow within a developing and progressive organisation.
As part of this role, you may need to mentor an apprentice, volunteer, or work experience placement.
Salary and Benefits
As part of this role, you may be eligible for allowances including an enhanced tool allowance, multi-skilling allowance, and callout payments, which will be discussed if you are invited to an interview.
* Pay award pending minimum 2.2%.
