Simple Laboratories is looking for a Mobile Phlebotomist that will serve an integral role in our Phlebotomy team. This position allows our Phlebotomist to travel to multiple facilities servicing mainly a geriatric population for routine, fasting, time-sensitive and STAT draws and collection. Shifts available: Sunday through Saturday (Full time flexible hours vary) Responsibilities: Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to assess geriatric patients. Perform venipunctures and other specimen collection according to policy and procedures. Completes required paperwork including requisitions and collection list. Ensures specimen obtained by the client are collected in proper container and labeled appropriately with two patient identifiers. Process and prepare specimens according to testing guidelines, including centrifuging, light protecting, freezing, ext. Complete and pick-up specimens collected by the client, from the facilities in assigned route. Transport specimens to a designated drop location within the coverage area Document and communicate phlebotomy staff errors Establish standards and tracking service to ensure clients are satisfied. Collaborates with other departments to provide the best care possible. Notify Supervisor of supply needs and issues in the field. Utilizes required proper protective equipment. Maintains a clean and healthy work environment. Consistent communication with dispatch operators (twenty-minute limit for responding to messages.) Communicates delays, hard sticks, and rejections to the dispatch team. Notify dispatch when draws need to be rescheduled.
