Shift Pattern:
* Day Shift: 07.00-15.15 Mon -Thurs and 07.00-15.30 Friday
* Back Shift: 15.00-23.30 Mon -Thurs and 15.00-22.30 Friday
As an HGV technician, you will join our Service & Workshop team at our Volvo Truck and Bus Centre, ensuring repairs meet Volvo standards. You will work on systems including alternative fuels such as LNG, hybrid, and full electric vehicles.
No experience with these systems? No problem. You will receive training, including an induction, foundational events, and courses online and in-person. You can train to become a Master Technician with an IMI Level 4 qualification.

Who are you?
You should have City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification, along with an apprenticeship or experience in the HGV or commercial vehicle industry. Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred, as is a basic understanding of vehicle technology.
What you'll do:
You will ensure vehicle repairs are performed to high standards, following manufacturer procedures and Volvo standards. Responsibilities include fault diagnosis, warranty procedures, assisting with roadside breakdowns, working with parts, and supporting trainees and apprentices.
* Ensure repairs are safe, responsible, and according to Volvo standards
* Assist in fault diagnosis and warranty procedures
* Work with parts and road test vehicles (if licensed)
* Support roadside breakdowns and ensure accurate documentation
* Maintain workshop facilities and support trainee development
