The board is seeking to employ an Estates Manager (plumbing bias) who will play a key role in the provision of a comprehensive maintenance, repair, and minor capital works service within the NHS Golden Jubilee estate. The role will also involve assisting in the management of the Hospital and Hotel properties.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of complex healthcare estates (plumbing bias) engineering and life-critical systems, acting as an ‘Authorised Person’ for disciplines such as Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Systems, and Hot and Cold Water Systems. This is to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, Codes of Practice, and Scottish Health Technical Memorandums (SHTMs).
Qualifications include a degree in a Healthcare Building Services related discipline or equivalent Healthcare estates engineering (Mechanical Bias) experience. Candidates must demonstrate a broad knowledge of all trade skills used within the Healthcare built environment, as they will manage a multi-disciplinary workforce.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as the post involves working within a close-knit team.
