CDA are looking for a dynamic and confident Business Development Manager to join our team.
You would help provide business partnering, sales management and product training, to a specific customer base within the major retail and trade merchant sector and ad hoc training across the wider customer base when required, in order to achieve sales targets and objectives set out by channel heads.
To work closely with our partners to ensure CDA delivers ‘best in class’ business partnership relationship, in order to maximise sales growth targets and objectives. The role is to deliver this in-line with the company vision, purpose and beliefs.
The role is territory based and will based within the field. Whilst working your own territory you will work alongside a team of other Business Development Managers and the wider teams across the business to all work towards to main company vision.
Area of role
The Business Development Manager is a Field based role, splitting your time between a defined geographical area as well as at our head office based in Langar, Nottinghamshire.
North and Scotland – encompassing North of England and Scotland, including Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and Newcastle and Scotland.

You’ll need a friendly personality and have good verbal and written communication skills.
You’ll need to be IT literate as we use the latest software tools to deliver the best service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sell and Promote the CDA brand in line with company strategy to ensure CDA is always well represented in a professional manner at all times.
* Develop and maintain customer relationships with allocated accounts as outlined by the National Accounts Team and to maintain regular contact with all territory customers ensuring comprehensive servicing of accounts.
* Constantly monitor progress against monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets, so as to be aware of progress against objectives.
* To continually strive to maximise every opportunity for achieving increased sales and growth with territory.
* Carry out formal and informal, group and one-to-one training sessions encompassing brand history, product training and sell up techniques.
* In-store product merchandising – ensuring that CDA products are clean, well presented, prominent and, where appropriate, CDA Point of Sale is utilised.
* Monitor and manage returns and damages in line with the company policy.
* To collect and transmit information regarding competitor or market activity to relevant channels to assist in maintaining a high level of competitor/ market intelligence.
* Attend relevant sales events, conferences as required by your customer base/manager or channel head.
* Specified number of average “calls per day”, within your territory area on a cycle basis to ensure frequent customer visits.
* To adhere to systems processes of administration to agreed time scales.
* Maintain and record customer contact information, audits and call information.
* Provide required support to the National Accounts Managers and Channel Head.
* To maintain professional image conductive to the culture and ethos of CDA.
* To undertake any other reasonable duties within your range of experience and competencies.
* As part of the role, in-line with the needs to the business you will also be required to support and lead in product training for internal sales and support teams.

* Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Excellent presentation skills
* Ability to manage own workload to tight deadlines, including balancing, planning and organising multiple tasks simultaneously
* Adaptable and Flexible
* Driven to achieve targets & objectives
* Full driving licence
