Commercial Development Consultant

Salary: Up to £26,300, dependent on skills and experience

Permanent Contract

Hybrid working (office based in Birmingham) – Currently 1-2 days in the office per week

About the role:

Role Overview:

Responsible for developing and nurturing existing client relationships, while actively sourcing and onboarding new commercial opportunities. This includes end-to-end management of new business processing, renewal processing, and consistently delivering exceptional client service in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to enhance retention and satisfaction.
2. Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities to drive business growth.
3. Manage the full cycle of new business and renewal processing efficiently and accurately.
4. Collaborate closely with Heads of Departments (HODs), Relationship Managers (RMs), and financial advisors to identify business opportunities and implement retention strategies.
5. Leverage internal tools and data insights to support decision-making and improve client outcomes.
6. Ensure a client-first approach is embedded in all actions and communications.

What we’re looking for:

7. Be able to adapt and communicate to suit all levels of professions within the medical
8. Have a good grasp of the different business models and the setup of medical
9. Confident in presenting face to face, emails, telephone or video conference calls to individuals and large groups
10. Navigate around multiple software to manage/analyse data and information.
11. Have worked in a FCA regulated environment, processed customer data following GDPR guide.
12. Able to think quickly, adapt to changing circumstances, and deliver effective solutions that meet both client and business needs.
13. Good written and oral communication skills
14. Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and key stakeholders
15. B2B experience desired, individual will be required to complete training modules and self-development PDP for B2B role
16. Highly self-driven with a results-focused mindset and a determined attitude toward achieving and exceeding targets.
17. Demonstrates sound commercial awareness, particularly in lead generation, qualification, and management, contributing to strategic business development.
18. Capable of navigating and utilising multiple systems and software applications to manage and analyse data efficiently.
