In this role, you will:
* Operating machinery efficiently and safely as a highly skilled production operator
* Complying with Thiess’ policies and procedures
* Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor
* Excavating to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms and pit walls
* Ensuring floor levels are maintained
* Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances
* Setting and maintain high housekeeping standards
* Carrying out pre-start checks
About you
* Minimum of 5 years mining experience as mining production excavator operator
* Equivalent to or specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600 is essential
* Experience in loading dump trucks in a mining production environment essential
* Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration
* Skills to mine out benches and cutting batters, leaving minimal amount of material for final trim to design of batter angle
* Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
