Job: Senior Quality Engineer
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. Operating within a highly regulated environment, this role will play a key part in maintaining and improving quality standards in line with AS9100 requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong aerospace background to take ownership of quality processes, support operational teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific quality requirements
* Lead and support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits
* Manage non-conformances, driving root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
* Support APQP, PPAP, FAI (First Article Inspection) and NPI activities
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve process capability and product quality
* Act as a key point of contact for customer and supplier quality issues
* Monitor and analyse quality KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement
* Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business
Essential:
* Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within an aerospace manufacturing environment
* Strong working knowledge of AS9100 standards
* Experience with FAIRs, APQP, PPAP, and quality tools
* Ability to lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
* Experience supporting or leading audits (internal, external, customer)
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
