We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools in the Sheffield area. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of SEND needs within mainstream classroom settings. You will play a vital role in helping children access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. This is a flexible position where you may be required to work on a daily supply basis or take on longer-term assignments as they arise. This makes it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and adapting to different school environments. Key Responsibilities: Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment Managing behaviour in line with school policies Supporting pupil's emotional and social developmentRequirements: Experience working with primary-aged children in a mainstream or SEND setting A strong understanding of SEND needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language) A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children's developmentWhy Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
