The Job Summary:
Wrightbus is a fast-moving company which has experienced considerable growth in the last few years. As part of this continued growth, we are looking for someone to join the team in our exciting new position of Engineering Technician – Vehicle Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the set up and validation of various vehicle systems and assisting with defect rectification in line with weekly production output and new product developments.
The Role:
* Perform ‘End of Line’ Vehicle system tests to verify vehicle functionality and compliance.
* Ensure that all vehicles function as per the customers functional requirements.
* Commission, calibrate and validate vehicle safety systems to confirm correct operation.
* Collaboration with Design and Engineering teams to support the integration and development of new and existing vehicle systems into Wrightbus products, ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Liaise with 3rd party system suppliers, where necessary, to ensure smooth integration of products to Wrightbus products.
* Operate diagnostic tools and software to detect and rectify system performance issues and faults.
* Assist with the development and creation of in-house test plans to ensure ongoing product compliance.
* Liaise with necessary departments, internal or external, to help resolve any issues relevant to vehicle systems, as applicable.
* Liaise with necessary departments, internal or external, to create an environment where vehicle systems successfully demonstrate compliance.
* Complete vehicle functionality checklist to ensure system performance and customer functional requirements are met and parameters captured.
* Undertake relevant training associated with the effective operation of the post.

The Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.OrMinimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of engineering technology.
* Ability to understand technical drawings/models, and work instructions.
* Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
* Theoretical knowledge of good engineering disciplines.
* Automotive Experience desirable.
* Good Engineering hand skills with experience in a variety of hand tools.
