Job overview

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS POST IS CURRENTLY ONLY OPEN TO EMPLOYEES OF CPFT

The purpose of the role is to foster a culture in which research is rooted in routine clinical practice. Our strategic intent is underpinned by an environment where research is part of the clinical practice in a way that adds real value and impact which benefits our patients.

The post holder will be seconded for months to R&D for day-a-week from the date the agreed release secondment starts. The post holder will be equipped with the confidence and skills needed to make sure the practice is evidence-based and to support and inspire your colleagues in the respective Directorates to undertake clinically relevant research.

This is an opportunity for an individual working for the OPAC, CYPF, or ASMH directorate to support Nursing and AHP actively involved in research with generating new, practice-based research questions and involvement in various research delivery modes.

Main duties of the job

Support research within their directorate by developing and applying research that improves care, the health and wellbeing of our patients and workforce.

Support the R&D in increasing the visibility and dissemination of NMAHP research at CPFT.

The post holder will continue to be based with their clinical service with an expectation of engaging with the wider service directorate as well as the occasional need to be at the Windsor Research Unit in Fulbourn Hospital.

Working for our organisation

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is a health and social care organisation dedicated to providing high-quality care with compassion to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we care for, as well as supporting and empowering them to lead a fulfilling life.

Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services, not only via inpatient and primary care settings, but also within the community. These services include children's, adult and older people's mental health, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care and liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, research and development.

To achieve our goal, we look to recruit high-calibre candidates who share our vision and values. As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage applications from all sectors of the community, particularly from under-represented groups including people with long term conditions and members of our ethnic minority and LGBTQ+ communities.

Please be advised we reserve the right to close adverts earlier than the closing date should we receive sufficient applications.

Regrettably, we cannot offer sponsorship for all our job roles. If you apply for a role that we cannot offer sponsorship for, unfortunately, your application form will be rejected from the process.
