CNC Miller Programmer/Setter

* Salary: 38 hours paid based on a 40 hour week
Join a leading precision engineering company as a CNC Miller Programmer/Setter, where you will focus primarily on CNC operations including programming, setting, and operating milling machines. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in CNC machinery who is looking to apply their technical skills in a dynamic work environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
* Produce CAD drawings and undertake prototype production as part of project work.
* Participate in conventional milling, drilling, polishing, and CNC turning under the supervision of the Machine Shop Supervisor.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
* Adhere to ISO9001 quality standards and report directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a CNC Miller with strong programming and setting skills.
* Proficiency in using CAD software and CNC programming.
* Familiarity with the operational aspects of milling machines and lathes.
* Knowledge of conventional milling, drilling, polishing, and CNC turning.
* Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
