Service, Calibration & Commissioning Engineer
Location: Rochdale - Extensive UK & Worldwide Travel Required
Full Time - 37 Hours per Week
Paid Overtime + Company Pension + Flexitime
Core Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:30am-5:00pm, Fri 8:30am-2:00pm
My client are seeking a proactive and versatile Field Service Engineer to support a wide range of customer-focused service activities, both in the UK and internationally. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, technical problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer support across service, commissioning, calibration, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out service, calibration, commissioning, and customer training, both in the UK and overseas
Support the fulfilment of customer contracts and ongoing service agreements
Assist in achieving annual service department targets in line with business objectives
Prepare accurate quotations for spares and additional service work following site visits
Work closely with the spares engineer to maintain up-to-date and accurate project spares lists
Assist in the pre-delivery inspection and testing of equipment and control panels
Provide clear feedback from site visits to internal departments to support continuous improvement
The average engineer earns an extra 20k a year through overtime and customer visits
What My Client is Looking For:
Electrical biased or Multi-skilled Engineers
Experience in field service, commissioning, or calibration roles (multi-sector experience is a bonus)
Strong communication skills and ability to represent the business professionally on-site
A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service
Flexibility and willingness to travel in the UK and abroad
