About the Client You will be supporting a woman in her 40s who lives in her own home with 24/7 support. She has Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, which means she requires tailored assistance around communication, partial sight, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. She is active, energetic, and loves spending time outdoors in large open spaces. Sensory activities also play an important part in her routine. She benefits from clear communication, structure, and patient, consistent support. Your role will be to help her live a full and meaningful life, offering emotional reassurance, physical assistance, and positive engagement with her environment. About the Role As her support worker, you’ll build a trusting and positive relationship, ensuring her daily life is structured, enjoyable and centred around her needs and preferences. You’ll work both independently and as part of a small, dedicated team. ⏰ Shift Patterns Days Up to 36 hours per week Shifts: 08:00 – 20:00 Waking Nights Full-time Shifts: 20:00 – 08:00 What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a female support worker, due to personal care who is: A confident driver with a full UK driving licence Able to drive a manual car (essential) Active, patient and fun Confident supporting behaviours that challenge Experienced in complex care Able to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate, reliable and committed Skilled in communication and relationship-building A key part of the role is supporting the client to access her community safely and meaningfully — therefore driving is essential.
