The FA's Para Division are looking for an experienced Physical Performance Coach to support the development of physical performance for elite blind men's and women's players, inclusive of on- and off-camp delivery.
This is a casual contract initially running until 31 July 2026, with an anticipated commitment of up to 30 days per season, including duties that may require travel outside the UK.

1st stage interviews are scheduled to be held circa week commencing 19th January 2026. For successful candidates, a second stage practical interview will be held on Friday 6th February 2026 at The National Football Centre, St. George's Park.

What Will You Be Doing?
7. Provide individualised strength and conditioning programming to players based on game, position and individual development demands
8. Connect with local (e.g., TASS) strength and conditioning coaches to inform face-to-face delivery
9. Weekly connection with players around training progression
10. Regular connection to squad multi-disciplinary team
11. Develop blind football-specific profiling measures to evidence progress in relevant areas whilst maintaining a database on physical profiling of players
12. Provide on-camp and in-tournament support in relation to warm-up and recovery processes (attend min. 10/15 camps)
13. Lead the delivery of travel strategies for overseas competition
14. Work with Rehab Physical Performance Coach, Rehab Physio, Squad Physios and Squad Doctors around return to play strategies for rehabbing players
15. Contribute to players' individual development plan process
16. Work with the Nutritionist to inform players' fuelling demands
17. Provide educational sessions to players & coaches on areas relevant to physical development
18. Support additional physical performance areas across Para Football squads when needed
19. Attendance of mandated training (i.e. EMAiF, UKAD Introduction to Clean Sport, CRC check, Safeguarding).
20. Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
21. Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

What Will You Need?
Essential for the role:
Knowledge
23. Undergraduate degree in sport performance related subjects
24. Strength and conditioning accreditation (e.g., UKSCA, NSCA, ASCA)
25. UKAD Introduction to Clean Sport
Experience
26. Excellent coaching skills and extensive experience as a physical performance / strength and conditioning coach in elite sport
27. Expertise within a specific domain of physical performance
28. Experience leading strength and conditioning programming to athletes
29. Experience developing profiling measures to match sport-demands
30. Experience working with remote athletes
Technical Skills
31. Experience with internal and external training load monitoring (e.g., heart rate or GPS)
32. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Beneficial to have:
Knowledge
33. Postgraduate degree in sport performance related subjects
Experience
Experience in the following;
34. working in elite football
35. working with visually impaired athletes
36. developing profiling batteries and return to play metrics
