Job Role: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Cardiff (Bristol or Exeter considered)
Opportunity: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £48,000
I am currently working with a one of the UK's fastest growing design consultancies as they look to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer into their Cardiff office. This is a relatively new office for the company and they're building a strong team of engineers who collaborate and drive progress on interesting and varied projects.
This company offers a genuinely flexible approach to work, listen to colleague ideas and have added great staff initiatives through employee workshops. In addition to this approach there is a very hands on directorship team who will promote internally and offer support on chartership.
Key responsibilities for this Senior Geotechnical role:
- Prepare geotechnical & structural designs for permanent and temporary works.
- Inspection of works and building plans form it.
- Generate Bill of Materials and produces cost estimates.
- Attend site measurements and meetings as and when necessary.
- Build long standing relationships with clients and advise on possibilities.
- Guide, support and mentor junior Geotechnical Engineers to success.
- Undertake feasibility studies with the cost team.
- Communicate clear ideas and ensure all relevant parties are in communication and being regularly updated.
Key requirements for this Senior Geotechnical role:
- Must have a BEng in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
- Chartered Membership of ICE or working towards.
- Good working knowledge of Geotechnical Standards and applicability to the construction and residential sectors.
- Must have own transport and able to travel to client sites.
Package on offer for this Senior Geotechnical Role:
- Salary up to £48,000
- Flexible working 09:30 - 16:30 with early start finishes,
- Hybrid working 3days office.
- 40hours week.
- 25days holiday (option to buy more)
