We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager vacancy! The Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of consumable products in the Life Sciences industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, vaccine, cell gene, medical device, nutraceutical, and related industries) within an assigned business or geographic region. The role involves developing strategies with sales leadership to meet targets, managing team activities, and handling individual sales responsibilities in the territory.

What You Will Do

Business Management: 30%

* Facilitates the development and expansion of the region’s business by initiating and nurturing key relationships and associations in the Life Sciences industry.
* Monitors and reports market trends to internal partners and implements strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
* Ensures processes and workflow meet business objectives.
* Partners with sales leadership to develop and manage the region’s business.
* Identifies top prospects, projects, and opportunities.
* Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
* Reinforces compliance with policies and programs.
* Continuously seeks ways to improve productivity and sales processes.

Duties cont.

Achieving Financial Objectives: 20%

* Develops and communicates business strategies.
* Drives activities to achieve financial targets.
* Participates in setting pricing strategies.
* Manages the region’s business within budgeted expenses.
* Optimizes time, travel, and sales activities for effectiveness.

Customer Focus: 25%

* Ensures customer needs are integrated into organizational processes.
* Collaborates with functional leaders for process improvements.
* Prioritizes activities to respond effectively to customers.
* Ensures team training for delivering integrated customer solutions.

Employee Development: 25%

* Recruits, interviews, and hires suitable candidates.
* Fosters an environment of self-development and problem solving.
* Coaches the team to build positive sales relationships.
* Conducts regular performance reviews.
* Identifies training needs and provides resources.
* Aligns team activities with strategic goals.
* Analyzes success factors and revises strategies accordingly.

What is needed to be successful

* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Science, or Engineering preferred.
* Proven successful sales experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences market with multiple products.
* Proven managerial experience.
* Strong sales support skills, leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
