Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces through high-quality painting and decorating work. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel to various job sites.
Duties
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes as necessary.
* Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
* Hang wallpaper and apply decorative finishes according to client specifications.
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with clients to discuss their requirements and provide updates on progress.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any issues promptly.
* Keep work areas clean and organised throughout the duration of projects.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in English to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
* Previous experience in painting and decorating is highly desirable.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Flexibility in working hours may be required based on project demands.
