Overview
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sales/Field Trainer to work across the North West, North East and Scotland, for our client – Currys!
Role Purpose
The Field Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining the training and development of SES colleagues across Currys stores. This role ensures SES colleagues are fully equipped to execute the supplier sales programs, provide an outstanding customer experience, and achieve sales and compliance objectives. The Field Trainer acts as a bridge between suppliers, Currys, and SES colleagues, providing in‑store coaching, facilitating training events, and supporting program implementation.
Key Accountabilities
* In‑Store support & field coaching: conduct monthly store visits, provide real‑time coaching on sales and monitor promotional execution techniques.
* Performance monitoring & reporting: assist Account Managers, provide insights into training effectiveness.
* Engagement & communication: act as a point of contact for SES colleagues regarding training and drive engagement on the SES Viva Engage platform.
* Achieve KPIs (training completion rates for SES colleagues target: 95%+) and improve sales performance metrics following training interventions.

* Support multiple brands across Currys stores in Northern England and Scotland, requiring regular travel, including two consecutive overnight stays per month in Scotland and two overnight stays per month in the North East of England.
Key Skills & Competencies
* Excellent training and presentation skills, both in‑person and virtually.
* Strong coaching and mentoring abilities with a focus on sales performance.
* Knowledge of retail sales processes, customer engagement, and promotional execution.
* Ability to interpret sales data and translate it into actionable training insights.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple store visits and training events.
* Flexibility to travel frequently to stores across regions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in retail sales, field training, or program management.
* Experience training adult learners in a sales environment.
* Familiarity with sales tracking systems, performance dashboards, or reporting tools.
* Knowledge of regulated services (credit, warranties) is preferred.
Benefits
* £28,800 annual salary plus £5,600 gross car allowance for 4 days.
* 10% bonus on salary subject to KPIs.
* 25p/mile mileage.
* Perm contract – 32 hours, 4 days per week (Friday‑Monday).
* Working hours: 9am‑6pm.
* Working days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
* Must be a driver with own car, insured for business use.
