Interim Senior Contextual Safeguarding Consultant

£500 – 525 per day

Full time role – Hybrid working – up to 3 days p/week on site
Baltimore Consulting are currently working on an exciting opportunity that has arisen within a Local Authority in North West England for a Contextual Safeguarding Consultant with subject knowledge around Exploitation, Missing Children and Adolescent Safeguarding. You will report to the Head of MASH, Duty, Contextual Safeguarding and Youth Justice and the key focus of this role will be to improve practice across 3 teams in the Council.
Your Role as Interim Senior Contextual Safeguarding Consultant:
* Aiding the Council in their improvement journey and Ofsted readiness.
* Working alongside other senior managers and Heads of Service, you will also drive forward the improvement plan whilst evaluating if any further revisions need to be made to said plan.
* Attend weekly risk meetings, evaluation of application of thresholds.
* You must be able to use Positive engagement using a strengths-based leadership style to develop the service.
* You will be expected to liaise with all teams and contrast and compare the services being provided with an aim to iron out any inconsistencies.
* No line management responsibilities – the teams consist of Social Workers, Youth Workers, Parent Workers, Clinical Psychologists and Mentors. They also work with the Police and Exploitation hubs.
Your Experience as an Interim Senior Contextual Safeguarding Consultant:
* A solid understanding around Children’s Contextual Safeguarding, Exploitation and Practice Improvement.
* You will need to hold knowledge of social work practice but also how this is specifically applied to CSE, Missing children and Exploitation.
* Ability to clearly evaluate and demonstrate steps required to achieve Good within service area – evaluate and report to ADCS/DCS confidentially and confidently.
* Social Work Qualification preferred but not essential for the post.
