Position: Join IChemE as our new School and College Engagement Officer Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers? Do you thrive on building connections, creating impactful experiences, and making STEM careers more accessible and inclusive? IChemE is looking for a School and College Engagement Officer to lead our outreach to schools, colleges, and community groups. Requirements: As School and College Engagement Officer, you will: Develop and deliver engaging outreach events and activities for young people aged 5–19 Develop innovative resources to support teachers and volunteers Build partnerships with schools, universities, and IChemE members Champion diversity and inclusion in engineering pathways We are looking for someone who has: A degree and at least 3 years’ experience in education or outreach Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum, especially STEM subjects Excellent communication, planning, and relationship-building skills Other information: Due to IChemE’s international nature, this position requires a willingness to work flexibly and to engage in business discussions outside of normal working hours. The position is based in Rugby, UK with flexible working arrangements - currently the requirement is at least three days in the Rugby office and the remainder working from home – however, this is flexible according to business need. Only candidates eligible to work in the UK will be considered. This is a permanent, full-time role based on 37.5 hours per week working Monday through to Friday. Starting salary will be in the region of £31,000- £35,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits which includes an excellent pension scheme.
