Corporate Finance Firms Supervisor Division: Market Interventions, Infrastructure & Exchanges Department: Trading Venues & Corporate Finance Firms Salary: National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £43,100 to £51,700 and London from £47,300 to £57,000 (salary offered will be based on skills and experience) This role is graded as: Associate Your recruitment contact is Riley Fox via [Riley.fox@fca.org.uk]. About the FCA and team We regulate financial services firms in the UK, to keep financial markets fair, thriving and effective. SPC oversees firms and individuals (supervision), creates and reviews the rules by which they operate (policy) and identifies and remedies ineffective competition in markets (competition). Sitting in the Infrastructure & Exchanges directorate, the MI Trading Venues & Corporate Finance Firms Department oversees key market infrastructure and around 440 corporate finance firms, while shaping trading venue policy to support fair, orderly, and transparent markets across asset classes. Role responsibilities: Engage directly with regulated firms to understand firm-specific issues, helping shape smarter, more responsive regulation Apply your regulatory expertise to assess complex information and recommend targeted actions, driving meaningful change across firms and markets Craft and deliver high-impact communications with internal stakeholders and firms, ensuring clarity and alignment on key regulatory messages Guide front-line supervision of a critical portfolio, making a tangible difference in preventing misconduct and protecting market integrity Deepen your understanding of wholesale financial markets, gaining exposure to a diverse range of market participants and practices Build and leverage strategic relationships, influencing outcomes and delivering through collaboration across teams and external partners Skills required: Minimum: Prior experience working in either a financial service environment such as firms, legal and consultancy or other regulatory and governmental organisations Prior experience working in an analytical role Prior experience in a corporate finance or primary markets environment Essential: Knowledge of wholesale financial markets Knowledge of the UK regulatory framework A curious and inquisitive mindset, and a desire to deliver in the public interest Ability to interpret and question information from multiple sources to form strong, evidence-based judgements Ability to work solo and collaboratively within a team Proven stakeholder management skills Ability to prioritise competing goals and have proven organisation skills Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Hybrid model with up to 60% remote work Non-contributory pension (8–12% depending on age) and life assurance at eight times your salary Private healthcare with Bupa, income protection, and 24/7 Employee Assistance 35 hours of paid volunteering annually A flexible benefits scheme designed around your lifestyle For a full list of our benefits, and our recruitment process as a whole visit our benefits page.
