Job Title: Asbestos Bulk Analyst
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £32k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting in the South East for a diligent Asbestos Bulk Analyst, to operate out of a UKAS accredited laboratory. You will be joining a privately-owned Asbestos Consultancy, who have a friendly and professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a thorough and methodical approach to their work, and must hold the BOHS P401. You will be travelling to the lab on a daily basis, so applicants must be able to commute. Candidates must be located in: Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, Chelmsford, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Rayleigh, Southend-on-Sea, Maldon, Stanford-le-Hope, Tilbury, Grays, Rainham, Dagenham, Hornchurch, Romford, Ilford, Chigwell, Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Witham, Cheshunt, Enfield, Erith, Dartford, Bexleyheath.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P401 qualifications
- Strong experience working as an Asbestos Bulk Analyst
- Working knowledge of UKAS guidelines
- IT literate
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Able to work to agreed deadlines
The Role:
- Analysing samples through stereo light microscopy and PLM methods
- Logging samples in and out
- Keeping records of findings and updating the company database
- Producing analysis certificates and issuing to clients
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory
- Answering client enquiries via telephone and email
- Participating quality assurance checks and auditing
- Maintaining high levels of service to clients
