Join to apply for the Clinical Psychologist role at West London NHS Trust. Due to recent expansion of psychological provision and developments in our service, we are seeking a passionate and committed clinical or counselling psychologist to join the Mental Health Integrated Network Team (MINT) in Hounslow. MINT is a multidisciplinary service providing holistic support and treatment to adults presenting with a range of mental health difficulties within a stepped-care framework. We have an established psychology team which is well integrated and highly valued in the service.
This post is an excellent opportunity for someone who has established a clear skill base at band 7 and wishes to further develop their leadership and broaden the breadth and depth of their knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
* Provide highly specialist assessments and treatment for individuals with complex mental health conditions who have experienced trauma, both 1-1 and in groups. Post-qualification experience in trauma-focused work is essential.
* Provide psychological consultation and guidance to the whole MDT and offer supervision and training for Band 7 psychologists, trainee and assistant psychologists.
* Embed trauma-informed principles within the work of the whole MDT team; thrive in a team environment and engage in multi-disciplinary working, consultation, and leadership.
* Contribute to service developments in MINT, undertake audit and research to drive and sustain quality, and collaborate with trainee psychologists and a wide network of psychological colleagues across the Trust.
* Work with people from varied cultural backgrounds, including those seeking asylum, using interpreters when necessary; promote equality of access to services and understand the psychological needs associated with migration.
* Engage in teaching, supervision, and training activities for MDT members and contribute to leadership development within the team.
Qualifications and experience
* Clinical or counselling psychologist with post-qualification experience in trauma-focused work and complex mental health presentations.
* Experience in MDT settings, leadership in psychological practice, and ability to provide supervision and training.
* Commitment to trauma-informed practice and working within a diverse, inclusive service.
