Offer description

Join us in this role where you’ll take a leading role in negotiating and drafting construction contracts for onshore wind projects, while supporting a broad range of legal matters including acquisitions, land development, and power purchase agreements.

Welcome to Legal Onshore Europe

You’ll be part of our Legal Onshore Europe team where you, together with your colleagues, will provide high-quality legal support to our onshore business units. Reporting to the Head of Legal for Onshore Europe, you’ll collaborate closely with project managers, contract managers, and external counsel to ensure legal compliance and commercial success across multiple jurisdictions. As a team, we value collaboration, integrity, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

You’ll play an important role in:

* negotiating and drafting construction contracts for projects in delivery and construction stages across the UK and Ireland
* supporting wind farm transaction execution activities, including due diligence, drafting, and closing
* coordinating legal inputs for landowner interactions during greenfield development and M&A reviews across England, Scotland, and Wales
* assisting in drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements with energy suppliers and corporate customers
* advising on a range of other legal and regulatory matters, including service contracts and compliance issues.

To succeed in the role, you:

* are a qualified solicitor in Scotland, England, or Ireland, with strong post qualification experience, preferably in an in‑house Energy corporation or a large law firm environment
* have strong experience in renewable energy and construction contracts, including EPC and turbine supply agreements
* bring knowledge of property law and experience in M&A transactions.
* demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to lead and influence stakeholders
* thrive in a collaborative environment and can manage complex projects across multiple jurisdictions.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
