This role is perfect for someone eager to share their technical skills in both practical and classroom environments. Key Responsibilities of the Mechanics Tutor: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in mechanics and automotive maintenance. Teach practical and theoretical skills aligned with the curriculum and industry standards. Maintain and oversee a safe, well-equipped workshop for hands-on learning. Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing feedback to support development. Collaborate with colleagues to create effective resources and support career pathways in mechanics. Requirements: Recognised teaching qualification or strong industry experience in mechanics. Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and health & safety practices. Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. Passion for teaching and inspiring students to succeed in vocational studies. Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
