Management Accountant (Full-Time)
Location: Onsite - Cheltenham
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000
A successful and growing independent company based in Cheltenham is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join its friendly and fast-paced team. About the Role
As the Management Accountant, you'll lead the day-to-day financial operations of a small finance team. Your focus will be on delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and supporting the leadership team with planning and forecasting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support the daily operations of the finance team
Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations
Complete and review weekly bank reconciliations, resolving any issues promptly
Produce regular cash flow forecasts and maintain rolling financial projections
Ensure FCA-related reconciliations and reporting are accurate and compliant
Review internal compliance processes for thoroughness and quality
Coordinate audit preparation and maintain strong financial controls
Process monthly payroll through Sage Payroll
Lead the annual budgeting cycle and provide support to department heads
Oversee credit control processes and manage insurance-related payments
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional with strong technical abilities and a collaborative mindset. You'll be comfortable managing a broad workload, leading a team, and clearly communicating financial insights across the business.
Skills & Experience Required:
Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA preferred)
Proficient in Sage 50 and Sage Payroll
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Confident working with Excel for data analysis and reporting
Able to present complex financial information in a clear, accessible way
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
Committed to maintaining integrity and accuracy in all financial matters
Desirable:
Working knowledge of FCA regulations, especially regarding client funds

Competitive salary: £48,000 - £50,000
Full-time, Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
