TEACHING ASSISTANT SPECIALIST LEVEL 3 30 hours (full-time): Monday – Friday, term time only. Closing Date: Thursday 26 February 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Interview Date: TBC Apprenticeship will be delivered through Heart of England. Candidates must have achieved maths and English at Level 2 prior to completion of the course. This is something that can be completed alongside the apprenticeship if needed on discussion with the school. We are recruiting a fixed term apprentice in this role to join our school from April 2026. The post is fixed term for 18 months in line with the duration of the apprenticeship. What are we looking for: A motivated practitioner who has high expectations all pupil groups in the classroom including pupils with EHCP/SEND. A caring individual who is will to ‘go the extra mile’ for our pupils and willing to develop a good understanding of specific SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, PDA and SEMH needs and how to support these needs in the classroom. A willingness to support pupils with and Educational and Health Care Plan (EHCP) to work towards achieving their targets. An ability to establish positive relationships with all staff and pupils when supporting pupils with English and Mathematical skills, promoting positive behaviour, and helping develop pupil’s social, emotional and mental health needs. Someone who has excellent oral, written and mathematical skills and is able to communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents. An individual who is able to use initiative as well as being a good team member.
