About the Role

Academic Support Administrators

These full-time posts are available from 1 August on a permanent basis.

The starting salary will be from £30,628 on Grade D depending on knowledge, skills and experience.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.


About the Role

We're looking for 2 organised, personable administrators to join the Academic Support Administration (ASA) Team. You'll be the first point of contact for academics with day-to-day queries and provide operational support to Heads of Department. This is a varied role and we're a small, friendly team - so flexibility and a collaborative approach are essential.


Key Responsibilities

* Diary management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements for Heads of Department
* Expense claims, purchase orders, in compliance with university financial and HR policies
* Onboarding new starters and managing office operations including room bookings, IT equipment, and parking permits
* Coordinating Vivas, Programme Boards, internal events, and guest speaker series
* Temporary staffing and Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PTA) administration
* Producing the fortnightly UEBS newsletter and scanning/distributing MCQ results


What We’re Looking For

* Proven administrative experience in a busy, people-facing environment
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Confident handling financial processes and purchasing procedures
* Able to manage a varied workload and shift priorities when needed
* A team player who is approachable, reliable, and happy to help wherever needed
