Overview
First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electrical) on behalf of one of our clients.
The focus of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure all safety regulations and policies are adhered to, conduct preventative maintenance on time to a high standard, and provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prioritize health and safety best practices in all work, ensuring compliance with all H&S standards and regulations.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance on various equipment within the site.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected parties, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
* Ensure high levels of equipment availability.
* Support the wider team and manage contractors.
* Manage on-site high-risk situations and escalate as necessary.
* Control contractors when required.
* Manage critical spare parts inventory.
* Provide general production support.
* Utilize basic IT/IS functions and maintain electronic documents and databases, recording accurate data in reports.
* Carry out repairs to building infrastructure.
* Create checklists and maintenance lists for new installations.
* Review, complete, and modify construction plans (Management of Change) for production facilities.
* Collaborate with leaders and partners to ensure food safety and partner safety.
* Understand and follow standard operating procedures related to the position, including PCP and CCP checks.
* Follow reaction plans for food safety, food quality, and customer requirement outages, and assist in ensuring proper operation and product quality.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Multiskilled in both electrical (instrumentation) and mechanical work, with an electrical bias.
* Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
* Fault finding on Siemens PLC and automated material handling systems.
* Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
* Experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
* Maintenance and servicing of production facilities.
* Experience with high voltage switching.
* Experience with sortation and conveyor machinery.
* Fault finding on building equipment such as HVAC, dock levelers, chillers, and general building maintenance.
