Are you a qualified advanced clinical practitioner passionate about Integrated Sexual Health?
We are seeking a motivated band 8a advanced clinical practitioner in ISH to join our forward-thinking ISH team.
We welcome applicants from nursing, midwifery or allied health professions who are qualified advanced clinical practitioners with extensive Integrated Sexual Health experience who are keen to work in a supportive and multidisciplinary environment.
What We Are Looking For
• Registered Nurse / Midwife / AHP with current NMC / HCPC registration.
• A master’s in advanced clinical practice or equivalent including independent prescribing and advanced clinical assessment
• Experience in Integrated Sexual Health at an advanced level
• Post-registration qualifications: STIF intermediate and advanced, DFSRH, Letters of Competence in Subdermal Implants and Intrauterine Techniques
• Excellent communication, education and leadership skills
• Evidence of autonomous clinical decision-making and advanced assessment skills

You will be fully supported in your role by the department’s consultant nurses and wider leadership teams.
Main duties of the job
1. The role involves a strong clinical component, with the post holder working as an autonomous practitioner undertaking 70% clinical sessions within Integrated Sexual Health at an advanced practice level. Providing advanced clinical assessments, clinical management and interventions (including prescribing) to facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients.
2. Demonstrate effectiveness in prioritising, escalating, de-escalating, providing selfhelp or management advice and refer for treatment/assessment/decision support in a timely manner within the clinical context of their role.
3. Collaboratively leads to promote patient and public experience feedback through local initiatives to drive innovation and change within their area of practice.
4. Demonstrates an understanding of the research process, how research findings can be applied to practice and are able to critique and synthesise research evidence to inform practice.
5. Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, to manage individual workload and effective service delivery.

Essential criteria
6. Professional registration and a post registration qualification(s) in area of practice or relevant speciality at level 7 (DFSRH, LoC SDI, LoC IUT and STIF Advanced)
7. MSc in advanced clinical practice (or equivalent)
8. Independent prescribing
9. Recognised teaching qualification (SSSA, FRT and RCT)
Desirable criteria
10. MSc or MA in related speciality (in addition to MSc in Advanced Clinical practice)

12. Substantial post registration experience at band 7 or above, including relevant experience in Integrated Sexual Health.
