Join us as an AVP Solution Architect within the Technology team, part of the Integrated Financial Crime programme, a Group-wide initiative to enhance Financial Crime Control Environment over multiple years. The programme aims to meet regulatory expectations, simplify client engagements through infrastructure redesign, and improve efficiency via advanced technologies. This role is ideal for an experienced Solution Architect or a seasoned Java software engineer seeking career progression.
The Integrated Financial Crime (IFC) portfolio consists of over 20 programmes focused on creating a comprehensive, risk-based, and effective Financial Crime environment, enhancing automation, skills, and capabilities across all lines of defence, and empowering stakeholders to identify and prevent Financial Crime.
To succeed as a Solution Architect, you should have:
* Proficiency in Java, DevOps, or similar programming languages, and database design.
* Ability to interpret technical designs and patterns.
* Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and experience in enterprise design delivery.
* Experience with cloud-native solutions, preferably in AWS.
* Knowledge of the Finance or Banking domain.
Valuable additional skills include:
* Experience with Workflow management on AWS.
* Knowledge of other programming languages and middleware technologies.
* Domain expertise in Financial Crime or Compliance.
This role is based at our Glasgow Campus.
Purpose of the role
To validate the accuracy, reliability, and soundness of the bank's analytical models through independent validation and quality assurance.
Accountabilities
* Developing and implementing validation plans for models.
* Preparing comprehensive model documentation.
* Establishing ongoing monitoring frameworks for model performance.
* Assessing model accuracy, performance, and regulatory compliance.
* Performing back testing and stress testing.
